Dr. Shapiro received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill in Psychology, an M.S. in Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans, and a Ph.D. from the Florida State University in the combined Counseling and School Psychology program. Dr. Shapiro completed his residency at the Hamilton Center's (Terre Haute, IN) Child and Adolescent Services. Dr. Shapiro also completed his post-doctoral fellowship from the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. Cincinnati Children's is an Honor Roll Hospital by the U.S. News and World Report's 10 Best Hospitals.

Dr. Shapiro has extensive training with children with behavioral and developmental disabilities as well as cognitive/behavioral training in working with children and adolescents with every-day issues.

Dr. Shapiro conducts testing for all types of learning disabilities, psychological and emotional testing, IQ and achievement scores. In addition, behavioral disorders can be diagnosed through testing in our office. 

Although we do offer same-day appointments when available, we encourage making appointments as far in advance as possible. Our friendly staff will be happy to answer any questions you have regarding scheduling and payment arrangements.
